Hello, i have a 60in1 board playing on my old Infinity1 cab.. the Wife and I were playing it ladt night (her first time) and the sound is terrible. Thought maybe its the single speaker or the amp.

So she didnt play it.. :/.. again and argument about why do I own these cabs if no one plays them.

Anyways.. did some research today and thought thst the crazy static sound was the norm with these boards.

So I tested it with an external powered pc speaker set and it was perfect! So glad its not the board.. installed like a year ago.

Anyways.. guessing its the old audio amp mounted near the coin door.

Here's pics of it.. anything I can do? Was hoping to see a blown cap but these look newer.

Might have a spare amp somewhere but like to keep the cab original as can be.

Btw.. turning the volume knob does increase the volume. I can hear the game along with crazy loud static. Sometimes just static.

60-1 is amplified so you're passing amplified sound through an amplifier. I'd recommend bypassing the cabinet's audio and wiring the speakers directly. Then you can adjust the sound via software or the sound pot on the board.

Thanks! Ill give that a try later tonight.

Former owner did a hack job to the harness.. making my job fun to find the right cables for the speaker.

The jamma harness shows "Speaker +" and on ghe backside "Speaker L". Now I have only a single mono speaker. + and -. So do i need Speaker out and a common ground wire? Or do I just use both Spr + and Spr L? Haha. No idea why I cant wrap my head around this.

Just wana be sure before I go cutting away.

Audio on these 60 in 1 boards isn't great for all games, just the nature of it being a poor emulator.

L is the name of the pin, numbers on on the parts side, letters on the solder side.

It follows the Jamma standard so you just hook the + & - of the speaker up to the the pins L and 10. Doesn't matter which side each wire goes to if you've just got one speaker.

Ok cool.. I guess that's L was throwing me off. Not used to seeing letters on the edge connector. Just numbers. + and - was what I was expecting.

All good.. give it a try tomorrow

My experience with these bootleg x in 1 boards hasn't been pleasant, they are some of the worst boards, which is why they're cheap as hell, moral of the story

They suck, get an ArcadeSD or BitKit instead
