Ive had this thing for years and its been for the most part solid. Thing is now it wont coin...in the past when it did this all I had to do is reset it back to factory default. Now it wont let me do it. Ive tried many...many...many times and it looks as though it now stuck. It does boot and load up...just wont coin...and there is no free play option. SO..my question is...Is there anyone I can send my unit to who can reformat it somehow??????

Might try asking Tim at jammaboards.com. Even though you didn't buy through him (I'm assuming), he's a pretty good guy and might be able to offer some help.

I have one of these also. Got it second hand from nixis (he said that it had problems). My problem was that it did work. It would boot it up, go the menu screen. However it would not coin up and the joysticks and buttons were un-responsive. If I plugged in a keyboard into the PS2 port and pressed either "3" or "5" it would add a coin. Also I have to press 1 on the keyboard to select 1 player. Once I did that, then I could play the game, once in the game everything plays as normal and the joysticks would FULLY function until the game was over, then I would have to repeat the process again via keyboard.

Not sure why it's doing that, not really sure how to fix it either.

The whole purpose of this story is, that you might try hooking a keyboard up to the ps2 port and then hit 3 or 5 and see if it coins up.

Blades issue sounds as if the on-board keyboard encoder is taking a dump...

You are probably right. Once in the game the joystick and buttons play great. But GAME OVER and you have to use the keyboard for coin, player select and even game select(it won't let you use the joystick for game select either, just in-game play). I've gone to the xxxx-in 1 website, but not a lot of people there have messed with these. But you are probably right, it's taking a dive. or just needs help.

Ok...I finally got around to checking this out and......YOUR RIGHT!! It totally worked out. Truth be told...having a keyboard that just sits on top the game isnt too bad. Just grab it..set the thing up and your on your way. Thanks!!!!
