Baby Pacman...working fine and now flippers wont work...

but everything else is...lights, ball response when I manually place it...

I was looking under the playfield - everything was ok - when I put the playfield back, the flippers woudn't respond. I checked fuses...

I ran the test mode for solenoids - shows each number but nothing is happening.....

Any ideas?

Anyone have troubleshooting checklist for baby pac?

check the fuses on the bottom of the playfield with a meter.

Thanks CD,

I checked for contuity, and the three fuses under the playfied were fine...

Any other ideas?

make sure everything is plugged up at the solenoid/lamp driver board, and if you haven't already, test the fuses on the power brick itself.

Checked the fuses...all are good....

Still no response from solenoids on playfield.

Lights work, response switches working.

Anything to do with flippers and ball poppers is not responding.

Problem started when I lifted up the playfield...with all the others items I have resolved, this is REALLY frustrating.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

Check the plug connections in the bottom of the cabinet coming off the power brick. You might want to spread the pins a little so the pins have more contact pressure.
The flippers and other coils work off voltage coming off the driver board. Its higher voltage something like 48v, cant remember exactly.

Thanks!!!

That worked!!!! Deceptive in that it looked fine...

Thanks again for helping,

Chris

Can you tell I have seen that happen more than once? Like you said, happens after lifting the playfield up. I guess the harness is short enough that it tugs on the connectors a little.
Happy pac'ing!

Thanks Riptor! But now...

she's blowing the fuse on the bottom - maybe I put the wrong fuse?

Monitor is showing wierd color patterns....

I replaced with another fuse- but when I touched it was REALLY hot.

???

Thanks again for your help!

Chris
