So I picked up a baby pacman way back... And it has sat for months. I finnaly have some time to address this game and it has some unique issues.
I will spare you all the boring details of how I have got to where I am... I will of course fill it in if requested.
This is what I have though. Hopefully someone knows what is making this baby "cranky"!
1. Brand new Alltek MPU replacement board.
Configured correctly -6 flashes
2. Vidiot board ACTUALLY working!
10 flashes
3. New (to me) G07 monitor... Replaces Hantarex 9000 that had too many issues to address at once.
Game boots to Attract screen (joystick moves screen to screen as it should).
States "Free Play" right on the screen.
Issues:
Test button on coin door does not work despite being wired correctly.
P1-P2 buttons do not start a game
Test mode entered thru MPU board button
Lamp test flashes lights - check
Solenoid test only clicks the relay on the lamp/solenoid board repeatedly.
No sound what so ever...
It was suggested to me that this may be a voltage issue... I have read and re-read several posts on baby pac on several sites but most concentrate on MPU and Vidiot acid damage issues. My MPU is new and the vidiot was spared any damage front and back...
Any advice? I would really love to play this thing one day!
