Baby Pacman Questions - Plastics / LED's / and Spinners

Baby Pacman Questions:

1) --- I bought new plastics because a chunk of mine were missing or damaged. Where does the little half-moon playfield plastic with no graphics go? Under the rectangle with no graphics?

2) --- LED Kit question – Did some research and it looks like I don't need to mod anything to keep the flicker away.

I have found two kits – Has anyone installed them? Have pictures or opinions? They are both the same price.

I could also just buy the LED's in bulk and get frosted white.

3) --- Spinners – Mine look terrible

Does anyone sell reproductions?
Do the peel and stick overlays look and work as good?

4) --- CP Overlay - I am about to order the overlay for the control panel from phoenix arcade. Do I just stick it over the old or do I need to remove all of the original paint/sticker? Also my CP seems to be brown with rust. Do I need to sand it / get it bead blasted? Any guidance here?

5) --- Are the cone shaped start buttons supposed to light up? Mine do not but I am not sure if it is by design or if the light is out in them.

I got a bunch of the warm white, and it looks great.

Mine do too. I'm probably going to get the overlays after I clean and paint the spinners bright white.
4) --- CP Overlay
You need to remove the overlay and glue at a minimum. I then strip and primer before adding the new overlay. You'll get fantastic results and won't have to worry about maintenance in your lifetime.

They aren't the lit type. You can tell by looking at the # of connectors. Two in BPM vs. five in traditional Atari LED cherry switches.

2 wires per switch in BPM but the switch has 3 connectors, with a diode between the end connectors.

Good point. Not to hijack the thread, but in taking this photo I noticed that even though the P2 cherry switch looks identical from the outside, it was likely replaced because it has five prongs versus the three.

I remember P2 was disconnected when I got it, and I simply reconnected it without the diode. It doesn't seem necessary, unless someone tells me otherwise.

For LED, I just went with retro LED bulbs that fit right into the old sockets. No flicker. They are a bit brighter than standard bulbs but not normal "eye bleed" LED bright as they are frosted to give a more retro lighting.

As for the spinners... I have the new stickers and they look great. You can probably just find a set on ebay.

Here are the pics only had 1 spinner

The stickers on Ebay look nicer as they have more colors in them. They have red in the headband and bow which the original didn't. Same with the drop target stickers.

Someone on here posted this artwork for the spinner. Here's some variations with red and blue.

I decided not to paint my spinners white. I thought that the ball hitting the spinners would chip the paint, so I just put the decals onto the unpainted metal. --Or maybe it depends on what kind of paint you use.
