My baby pacman has started acting goofy, I know shocking to hear. The color green has seemed to vanished, it is not the monitor because I tested it on another monitor and the green is missing also and I changed the green trim pot on the vidiot board and still no green. Any ides what to try next?

I think I have tried that already, just getting back to trying to figure the problem out after awhile. I have an extraTMS9928 and my granny and the gators has one also so I will try to swap it again but I think I have already tried that but will try again.

The RGB pots go bad on the Vidiot board. I had the same problem. Replaced RGB and Sync, no more problems. This game gets a bad rap. Aside from that issue, mine has been a tank.

I have tried to change the green pot with no luck, until up to this problem my baby pac has been great with no issues. I will ohm the wire for green today and see what I get.

While your at it put the meter on your green pot and make sure its working. Good point, sometimes we overlook the simple things.

Haven't had the chance to ohm the green wire yet but looking at the schematics do you think the u18 ic which is a lm359 could be bad? I know it's not the green pot because I put a new one in a few days ago.

Haven't seen a bad one yet. Most of the time its the 9928 or the pot is flaky. You can usually get some degree of adjustment from the pot though. They usually go intermittent not completely open. Put your ohm meter on the pot and see if it has full range so you can rule that out.

Will try that, so far the pot doesn't do anything when adjusted and I took one of the 9928's from my granny machine and still same issue so I am able to rule out a bad 9928.

Just because you put in a new pot doesn't mean it is good. I have replaced 1000 of parts and not very often but it does happen, you get a bad new part or too much heat will kill it.

Well finally got around to working on the baby pac and got green back:) Turns out the pot that I replaced the old pot with was shot also so I put in another pot and bingo I hve green back:) Thanks to all for your help:)
