Hacked up rectifier board, all those connectors to replace, monitor to cap, no wonder why I am in a bit of a funk lately. This is the last game that needs to be fixed, so no more excuses.

Im right there with you on this. Just send the vidiot for repair and I have a the connectors and pins sitting in a box at home. I just cant convince myself to start replacing those things.

um, you've had this game for 3 years and you haven't removed the battery from the mpu board ...

Mine almost worked...then died.
Just had issues with the drop targets...then I moved it from my parents place to my garage...

Now vidiot starts, mpu hangs, backglass paint crumbled to dust, water damaged area on top completely fell apart.

I feel your pain, this game hates working.

My Baby Pac is evil..
Sat for a month..replaced the backglass
And comes back to life..
Then i reboot it..and its dead

There are just so damn many of them!

Just got my Vidiot back from repair and it looks like I will have to place the connectors now... Its not allowing me to play the pinball portion or test the solenoids.

Someone should offer a service to put replacement connectors for these things ;)

EDIT: It was a blown fuse under the playfield. Turns out that fuse is getting double the volts it should.... Yay.

Great video, very informative. I had the chance to get a Baby Pac a few weeks ago but the guy selling it was being a dick! We set up a time to go check it out and he called me just before I was leaving and asked if we could do it the next day. I said sure and then he sold it to someone else, and never informed me or returned my phone call. I'm almost glad I didn't get it. He was asking $325 for a non working machine and after looking around I've seen partially working one go for the same price or less. A guy in Tennessee sold 2 non working ones for $350.
