My Baby started behaving strangely after re-soldering a diode on a light underneath the playfield.

I can't imagine how it could have affected the game in the following way, but now on start up, the game automatically awards a new Baby. You can hear 3 sounds as if you're hitting the Blue center target, but the green arrows don't even light up. This happens in both 1 player and 2 player modes, and happens about 2 seconds into gameplay.

Also, the right flipper is no longer ejecting the ball out of any of the saucers/outholes. The ball does eject automatically, but manually it's no good.

All switches, and solenoids check out 100% in the self tests.
All connectors are new, and again, it worked perfect until I lifted the playfield and soldered the diode.

Has anyone ever heard of these symptoms? My research hasn't turned up anything yet.

Thanks KLOVers

Baby Pac problem solved

Solved the problems.

It turns out that my batteries in my high score battery pack went dead, and for some reason it was giving me an extra baby at start up.

As for the right flipper not ejecting manually, it turns out I had a short in the white w/green dash wire that went from the right loop around switch to the right flipper.

Problems solved, but I'm wondering: has anyone else ever had anything weird happen when the batteries in the high score battery pack go out (extra baby awarded, etc...)?
