she is a GMM-8b model toei chassis.

a large cap has broken off.. no idea where its ment to go :(

how fuck i could possible find schematics for this model i dont know.. its out of a taito missile-x

its the big grey one right up the top , you can see a red wire sheilding around the end.

its rated 35 volt 2200 uf

I've never messed with one of those, but this is how I would approach it without a schematic or example.

Without distorting the capacitors legs, gently see which solder points that leg will "reach".
Inspect those locations closely for signs of a broken point.
Unsolder those locations if you have to and look for the broken end of the capacitor leg.

the red circle is a fuse holder thou...

i might have to do what you suggest.... damn its gona be a bitch to do.. this a 33 year old chassis , i dont want to mess with her too much , she does power up ok , just vertical and horizontal issues..lol
 
check the voltage between the two ends of the "tag strip" that the 2200uF 35v cap is attached to.

looks to me like it has been bent 180 degrees, and may have been attached to the LHS of the tag strip.

measure voltage - its not an AC cap by the look of it, so voltage prob upto 25v DC or so for a cap of that voltage

just a thought!

after another look, check what component is inside the plastic tubes - i suspect they will be diodes, and make a diode bridge rectifier on that tag strip.

just another thought!

all fixed now.

taito missile X lives !!!!

wondering do any klovers own a missile-x ?
