Does anyone have any information on this particular monitor? For the model number all I can see is the 700-A. It looks like it might be 1K700-A But I have no Idea. The monitor tubes ID sticker is gone so that's not going to be any help.

I did a Space Invaders monitor last year. I thought it was an M5000, but it was actually a KV700A.

luckily the caps I ordered assuming an M5000 were identical.

for all I know though they're the exact same thing anyway.

KV700 is a Motorola chassis number for the M5000/M7000 series.

Remember, if the tube is 19" then the model is M5000. If the tube is 23" then it's a M7000.

Bob Roberts shows he sells a capkit for the M5000/M7000 series:

I'm sure there must be other capkit suppliers with a kit for this series.

ok so I was technically right then. :) both my SIs have the Wells chassis.

I sourced my caps from mouser. if you google around for an M5000 cap list you should find it easy. that SI monitor I capped was turning white, you couldn't adjust brightness on it anymore. it wound up looking amazing after I capped it and adjusted everything properly.
