Hi gang.
Trying to help out a guy in town that has a cocktail "Video Action" (pong clone) with monitor issues.
Symptoms: SOMETIMES on power-up, the screen is collapsed – and then after about 5 minutes will widen-out to almost be usable. It can be adjusted to take up the whole screen. Other times, it will remain collapsed, but will widen out after a little wiggle on the chassis.
My first thought – Cap-kit and re-flow the header pins (but I'm open for other ideas!)
Only problem is – I can't ID the monitor and thus don't know which of the 24 caps to replace. Also, there's a broken ceramic cap on the back of the PCB (lower-right of 'back' photo – as well as the close-up) that I'd like to replace since I thought it might be part of the 'wiggle' issue, but not sure of the value.
So – I'm turning to the pros!
1) Any idea which caps to replace? I included pics (let me know if you want me to email higher-res pics) AND a list of all the existing caps – with values – below.
-I was assuming I'd have to buy them individually, but if you know of an available cap-kit (or want to sell me one!), let me know. I'd rather not shotgun all 24 if I don't need to.
2) Any idea on the value of that ceramic cap?
Here are the values of the existing caps - as seen on their sides:
Position Farad Volt
