Do you know...deciding on swapping chassis at 2am is not the best idea :)

So I decided to check the voltage from the ceramic connector on the side if the K7000.

Of course this is on my test bench and connected to a ISO.

Accidentally bumped my fingure onto the contact and got me a little zing. Overall it didn't feel much different then when I was a kid and pushed something in the light socket lol

And by the way ... Yes there was power at that connection.

Thought I would share :)
 
at least you did not ground the tab to the heatsink and kill the regulator.

i have done that more than once.:mad:
it is not fun to watch 5.00 go up in smoke:eek:

How about bare chested bear hugging a monitor you forgot to discharge...and not dropping it.

i was told that the one that got me was discharged.

nope!

that big 29" hit me several times in the belly on the way from the car to the house. there was no frame on it to grab ahold of just the tube.

did not drop it but i wanted to. it was not my tube.
