B&K monitor adapters - the list for us arcade repair guys

Monitor gurus - please chime in here!

Buffett and I have been discussing the B&K rejuvenators, and the adapters you will need to work on the most common adapters needed.

Let's make a list....

CR23: 4900's, G07s, some K7000s, 20 EZ, etc

CR31: K7000 slim necks

CR6: B&W vectors

CR24: 6100 Color Vector.

What other adapters should one have?

CR-24 Sega G08 Vector monitor

CR-30? Matsushita monitor

CR-23 should be MOST K7000's except slim neck 19"

smalltownguy2 is making them for me.
hit him up.

thanks for the links Ken.

Peace
Buffett

Here's a few of the oddball ones I've have noted....

CR-25 = Wells-Gardner 13K4700 series, Sega/Nanao MC2000 series, most of the color 19" Toei monitors I've ever checked

CR-24 = Hantarex 25" MTC-9110

CR-28 = Electrohome G07-FBO 13"

CR-3 = NEC monitor found in some Universal games (I had one in a Cosmic Avenger)

Considering I use a rejuvenator at least once a week, and I've been working on games for over 8 years, I should mention that I almost NEVER have to use any adaptor other than CR-23, CR-31, and CR-24 (which I use less often but did use today). Very rarely work on B&W tubes (vector or otherwise) anymore (unless it's my own) and rarely have to rejuv them if I do....

Can we get some pictures of what these sockets look like for us Heathkit owners?

Not sure what you mean, but here's the most recent CR-31 adapter I just made for another forum member:

You just yank the socket off a compatible neckboard, solder on some wires, crimp on some pins and block them up according to the pinouts noted above in the .pdf's that Ken Layton posted. Works great.

My first adapter looked pretty crappy, for sure. But I'm getting better at it now ;)

What did you use CR 24 on? I have access to a bunch of TVs that take that adapter, I'm trying to decide if I should keep them for potential tube-swap candidates...

DUDE...if you have a bunch of TVs in your possession that take a CR24 adapter, then you might have some donor tubes for the Wells Gardner 6100 or Amplifone monitors. These are highly sought after!

Get an eyeball on those tube numbers and post them here - you could be sitting on a gold mine!

Thanks for that info. I had asked if this was the case over here:

a few days ago, but it didn't seem like there was much use for them. I'll get a count and post details on that original thread.

Now that I've thought about it a bit, what I need is a way to match up the B&K CR numbers to the Heathkit adapters -- unless you know a simpler way, that would mean the pinout of each adapter, and a picture of the face of it with something in the picture to demonstrate size, like a ruler.

got mine in the other day and have already done 3 tubes.
smalltownguy2 does excellent work.

Peace
Buffett
