OK I Bid high and win it. I get it in the mail, Looks Sweet, Like New Never Used. I had a Little Woodie going, I did good for a change. I hook her up following those there directions on a tube that takes out that there vertical deflection on the chassie from time to time. Everthing looks good and tests good. So I figure I would Blast her Good, So I set her to Rejuvenate and that there little light goes off. Yes the one that says Power. Switch to clean mode, no light. I call Bk no help, I start digging in all that there paperwork that done came with it and found me a damm Addendum,
It done there Says ,
This Model 480 crt tester has been specially wired for SEARS to Exclude the Clean balance and rejuvenate functions. Setting the Function to the Clean balance or Rejuvenate positions will automatically turn the instrutment off.
Which it does.
I am Pissed , Loose 600 Dollops in one week is almost a all time high for me Latley for two deals.
Well From a little Checking her out I did see two things.
Cut out R14 and Clipped a wire off of the transformer going to the switch.
Any input would be appricated.

Damn, that blows. Probably a good thing though. I wouldn't rejuve a monitor if all the guns read good. Most I would have done would have been to clean or balance.

You should only rejuve a monitor or gun if it reads bad or isn't working. If you do it when it reads as being good you could damage a working monitor or severely limit it's life span.

My B&K 470 has the schematic in the back of the manual. Shouldn't be hard to add in any missing parts. There really isn't all that much stuff in a tube rejuvinator...

Sears probably had their service center equipped with those because they didn't want to be "rejuvinating" people's picture tubes - they were in the business of selling television sets too...
