I recently got a B&K 467 from eBay for about $50 (plus $40 shipping, haha).

It needed some work --

Problem: Interface cable looked like it had been repeated pulled out from adapters by angry 3 year olds and fixed by a blind person with a solder shooter.

Solution: Pull offending pins, recrimp/resolder as needed.

Problem: Blue gun meter affected when setting cutoff levels for red and green guns.

Solution: The B&K 467 service manual said that this was likely Q5, Q6, or Q7 (whichever one drove the meter that was acting up). Determined from schematic it was Q7. Replaced. Fixed!

Ok, so nothing monumental here, but it pleases me greatly when a problem I am having is "on the list" and the proposed solution works.

Also, repairing the repair equipment just sounds cool. Plus, Kaydee & I had never fixed anything with a vacuum tube in it before, for whatever that's worth.
