I recently purchased a BK 466 and a 467. 466 was working and the 467 not. I managed to get the 467 operational with the help of a few great members here. I wanted to get the 466 converted so it to could be functional with the CR series. No problem, with the instructions from Ken, I was able to build the adapter. Here's where it gets confusing. With the 466 hooked to a CR23 tube, I can
A) set htr voltage
B) set G1
C) set cutoff to each gun

After the above, it will only read emission on green gun, also, any further functions will only work on the green gun ie. remove shorts, rejuv, etc.

After doing some more research, I found this 8 year old post sort of explaining what was going on.

I get the jist of what is gong on but could use a little light to get through this. I made the adapter as per page 63 of this manual. I know there are a few here that use a 466, just wonder how they have it working.

I ended up getting this 466 to work with a CR23 adapter, without using any kind of 3-way switch or anything. Here's the pinout if anyone is interested in doing this. This works on all three guns by only using the color selector on the unit itself.
466 Socket CR23 Pin #
8<----------->6
1<----------->9
2<----------->5
7<----------->8
9<----------->11
10<----------->1,7
12<----------->10

What I did was just cut the adapter from one of the 466 adapters, and used a DMM in continuity to get the pin numbers. Once I get this together nice and neat, I will post a pic of how I went about this. Next is to work on a CR31 for this.

I tried to make a connector myself and had the same trouble of being only able to test the green. I followed all of the documentation available and thought that I was doing something wrong. The colors on my connectors did not even match up to the available documentation.

After awhile, I found this thread. I figured why not try with my screen burned trivia monitor. I found connector CR64/4L on the 466 had all of the connections needed. I wired it up to your diagram and now I am able to test all three guns by using the panel switch.

If it matters, the colors on my 466 connector are as follows:

1 Black
2 Green
7 Yellow/Red
8 Yellow/Green
9 Yellow/Blue
10 White
10 White/Blue
12 Brown

Thanks to everyone who provided input on this thread over the years, I was able to get my new-to-me 466 working on the first try with a G07, so I wanted to give back by pulling all the info into a single post to help the next person do this easier.

You will be using the #4 connector (it also shows "CR-64" in very small type) that came with your 466. This has two adapters on it, you'll be replacing the smaller one.

466 adapter pin — CR23 Pin # / wire color
8<----———------>6 yellow/green
1<--———-------->9 black
2<---———------->5 green
7<---———------->8 yellow/red
9<----———------>11 yellow/blue
10<--———------->1 white,7 white/green
12<--———------->10 brown

Note that Rod above says his adapter wire which goes to pin 7 on the CR23 was white/blue, mine was white/green.

I suggest using a multimeter to verify the connections from the adapter to the plug end. That way you know you have good connections and know which way the pins are oriented. Note that both the white wire and the white/green (or white/blue if that's what you have) both go to the 10 pin inside the molded 466 plug housing. You obviously can't see that but the multimeter will confirm it for you. I've attached pics showing the orientation.

I used a neck connector from a cracked G07 neck board. I felt desoldering that was easier than how Rod cut his PCB though his idea is cool and gives you maybe a little more to grab on to.

Once complete and ready for use, use the manual from the 467 to find your monitor specs, the 466 manual doesn't list some of the arcade monitors.

I felt bad hacking up the wiring on this connector (just like I hate when people hack up cabinets for multi games) and contemplated installing a molex on this adapter to allow me to swap back and forth between the old and new neck connectors. Maybe I will in the future. Just not sure I'll ever need to rejuv a black & white monitor with this specific adapter.

Also - I didn't find a way to install a molex on an *adapter* to allow you to plug in the more modern neck adapters. To properly convert the 466 to use those new neck adapters requires cutting off the old style round plug and reconfiguring the wiring. Said a different way, I don't think you can setup the machine to use the old and new adapters. It's either/or. This method of hardwiring to an old style plug avoids that issue.

As mentioned above, this works for all three guns by just turning the color gun knob, as it should.

As to results, you can see I had a weak blue gun. The results are pretty amazing!
