Greetings all,
I was given a B&K 465. Is it able to be used on arcade game monitors? Or does it have to be modified? Haven't downloaded the manual yet, but is there an adapter equal to cr23 and cr31?
Thanks

In order to use the standard CR-23 adapters and such that are used for monitor rejuvenation, you will need to build or buy an adapter to fit between your model and the adapters used on the 467's and later.

Ken Layton would know more info as to what you'd need...

The 465 as supplied is too old for modern tubes. B&K did make a box that plugged into the adapter end of the cord to allow use of modern CR series adapters. With that box attached to the 465, then it is useful on modern tubes.

On ebay right now is the elusive SP-65 adapter that allows you to use the model 465 rejuvenator with all the "CR-xx" series of adapters used on the models 467 through 490A rejuvenators.

The seller has the adapters in mislabeled boxes, but look at his pictures.

This is plug n play with no modifications to your 465 rejuvenator. One end of the adapter plugs into your 465 and the other end of the adapter accepts the CR series adapters. Makes an old 465 rejuvenator up-to-date for testing/rejuvenating modern picture tubes. For those of you with a 465, don't let this slip away.

If any of you buy it, can you please scan the instruction sheets?

Just purchased that lot of adapters. I'll be buying myself a 465 in a few minutes as well, I've been waiting for an inexpensive CRT rejuvenator. I will provide scans ASAP.

Yes indeed, please scan all the instruction sheets for the SP-65. It should include wiring schematics and parts lists. That way I can build one of those adapters. I have a 465 that's been sitting here unused for several years in my apartment. I've wanted to get one of those adapters built to make this 465 usable.

If you buy a 465 and it does not have the owner's manual, here is a link to the one I scanned:

The model 465 can usually be found dirt cheap on ebay because it's an old rejuvenator model from around 1967. With that SP-65 adapter it can be just as good as the modern B&K units like the 470 and 480.
