I was feeling pretty good about my collecting..based on the positive reaction we received this weekend at my son's birthday party...

Well that didn't last long, lol. I flipped thru some channels today and landed on an episode of A&E's Hoarders... As luck would have it, this particular episode dealt with "Randy" a hoarder of arcade machines... To the point of being a major weirdo, lol. Of course the Arcade Machines sank their hook in me and I find the show utterly facinating.. He was set on opening an Arcade museum called "Randy Land" and had dozens of mannequin replicas of himself in the Cade'. LMAO. Has anyone else seen this episode? or watch Hoarders? Is this show for real or staged??

I'm shaking my head now...I've got a few of the Hoarders warning signs, but at least its restricted to the garage, heheh.

The name Randy and the term "RandyLand" sound extremely familiar. I havent seen this episode yet though. Could it be the prick from Flippers Fascinations?

Damn I thought you was bullshitting for a sec and I looked and its a real episode

heheh, "Randy" kinda looked like the guy in your avatar. Watching the drama, the drama unfold, I kept feeling guilty trying to catch glimpses of what cabs he had in his stash, lol.

hot damn it IS him! I started recording the episode about 1/4 the way in, thinking my wife might get a kick out of it...but I may nix that idea...she may never let me buy another game ever again if I do, lol. I'm still watching it now to see how it unfolds. Dudes are trying to help Randy relocate his hoard to another location to realize his dream of opening an arcade.

Tom

Holy shit, I just looked online. IT IS HIM!!!!

I believe that's the nutjob Randy from "Flippers Fascination" in Wildwood NJ (I didn't see the show, but a little search sounds like it's him)
edit: oops, you guys beat me to the punch :D

HAHA its depressing but not for why you'd think. They are actually helping him move the games to open an arcade... I havent seen mention of throwing anything away.. Right now they are moving a monster horse racing game... its gotta be 75' long and weigh 10,000 lbs LMAO!

Tom

Sounds depressing, mostly because no doubt they had him tossing a lot of the games in the dumpster :(

There is a thread about this guy on here. Someone sold or bought something from him and the deal went to shit. Was it Josie or GameGirl???

You would really have an arcade-related "issue" if you were watching last week and noticed the green 2-player Computer Space in the background. Someone go get that thing!
