Pulled a dirty, beat up, burnt, blown fly, etc k7000 out of a warehouse the other day.. Spent 3 hours cleaning and rebuilding it.. Fired it up and its got a beyond perfect picture!!! Plus its set up with a donor tv tube, so its virtually a brand new arcade monitor.

Man I love when this shit works out!

Ok, it's 2am.. I've gotta be up in 5 hours.. Time for sleep. Lets all move on :)

It's a small Op who's out in the worcester area. He's been clearing out his storage and shop of dead games and parts. Games were posted on Neacf, so its not a new find.. But I'm the only one who asked about buying parts while I was there picking up a Joust 2, Asteroids, Baby Pac, and some others.. Scored a few large boxes of pcbs, ARs, nos artwork, conte panels, etc.

I'm much more interested in buying parts as they are much easier to store, fix, and sell. Funny thing is about a dozen people have been there to buy games but all of them walked right past the good stuff :) It was such a good haul, I sold one part that paid for the (3) classic uprights.. Heh, they were dirt cheap but its still cool.

The chassis was actually in the garbage as the monitor had been smashed at some point.. He cut off the flyback cap and just tossed it.. Thought I was crazy for pulling it out.. As it really looked like shit.

Saved another chassis from the dump!

I love doing that.

The other day? New warehouse? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!! ;)

Sweet! I got lucky in a similar way with a "left for dead" WG 19K4921 earlier this year. The seller said it was dead. I paid $5 for it. After reflowing the solder on the RGB connector, and adjusting the drives and focus, it's almost like new, with minimal burn-in.

I love when this shit works out too!
