I needed just a bit more "umph" to the music volume in my arcade, so I did a search on ebay and found these. I like unique things that you just don't see too often. These are from the 60s (according to the seller). Got the pair for $25. They are in really good shape considering their age, and they sound great! I put one next to the theater seats so you can set your drink on it while sitting there watching people play skeeball. They measure 16" tall, and just under 12" in diameter on the top. The other speaker will sit in the larger side of my arcade next to a bench I'm restoring. I love this stuff!

Nice. I love the 50's 60's vibe. The best is when the stuff actually works. I used to have an old 50's/60's slide projector table that had a back lit mini light box to check slides before showing them. I just love the style innovations from this time period.

Dang it.....all those skee ball games I played and while siting there I just couldn't figure out where to put my beverage without my daughter hopping of the slot machine stool and knocking it over. You just made my favorite spot to sit in your arcade even better! That is the sign of top notch arcade owner....I question it in my mind....and you improve it....;-)

I really like the style of the speakers....very unique for sure.

Are you able to look inside and check out the condition of the speaker surrounds? If they were paper or rubber, they're probably still fine. If they were foam, they rotted away years ago...

I decided a few months back to completely replace my game room sound system with something of similar vintage to my games (late 70s to early 80s). That led me into yet another hobby - vintage audio gear.

I didn't look that closely at them. The seller had them listed as working perfectly so I didn't give much of a thought to the inside condition. They sure sound nice so I bet they are in good shape inside. I'll take a closer look tonite. My whole setup is FAR from Bose quality or anything like that, it's more of the "look" I'm after. It's more fun

Cool John. I hope the drinks don't shake off while you're booming the tunes.
I love the vintage audio gear, esp from the 70's. I have a Pioneer SX-1280 with a set of CV's and play the heck out of my Lab-2000 LT turntable...

Speakers

Yeah,

Those look like the Zenith Circle of Sound speakers, though someone it appears changed the legs to wood from chrome and maybe modded them a bit.

Very cool, the turntable that goes with them is neat as well. Circa 1965ish

Nice receiver! I'm envious...

My vintage music system in my home office is a late 70s Pioneer SX-880 receiver, pair of 1974 vintage Smaller Advent speakers, late 70s Pioneer PL-560 turntable, and 1986 vintage Denon DCD-1500 II cd player. The modern concession is a Schiit Bifrost DAC connected to a PC for playing my digital music library.

I haven't set up my "new" gameroom stereo yet, but it's another SX-880 with a pair of Pioneer HPM-100 speakers. I'm thinking about buying a Logitech Squeezebox Touch to connect it to my digital music library.
