So I took the kids to see a Train Robbery on the Charlotte Valley Rail Road today, and while there they got the chance to play with this:

I almost wanted to save it from the old train depot ;) Good thing it is a long drive for jehuie.

I miss these.

When i was kid, Canobie Lake Park in NH had a couple of them (I don't think they were Lionel).

I'd pump a crap load of quarters in them.

This is one of the few coin-op games I want to find for my son.

I have never seen one for sale ever!

that is downright awesome. I don't even want to think what one costs.

I think you'd be more likely to find that for sale on a model train collector website than an arcade collector website.

Maybe try one of these forums

i picked up a coin operated slot car track (ICE TURBO DRIVE) a couple months back, it works great, but needs some clean and refurb before it hit the gameroom.

I've seen smaller ones at several different malls around here. Usually using Lionel O gauge trainsets.

Lionel discontinues most items after 1 year anymore. I could definately build something like this, but no clue on how to wire it to work on a timer, etc.

would anyone here actually be interested in something like this? I got the cnc.. i collect lionel trains.. if someone could figure out the control part, i can make the rest! Hell, if anyone is even interested in JUST a train layout i can do that too!

I am sure some of these guys would, and if you are looking for a timer circuit, here is one:

You would just need to connect the green led connection to a 120v relay and it would operate the power.
