So what did you end up doing with the unused Cpo?? I know you were not going to sell it since he was going to fix things. If you decide to sell it drop me a line. I for sure dont want his crappy side art, but if the Cpo is halfway nice let me know:D

I don't think it is unused anymore. He put it on his bondo'd up control panel and was planning on using it until he found a metal control panel with an original Phoenix Arcade screen printed CPO installed.

Holy crap... I posted a similar post to this on BYOAC letting folks know about my experience with arcadedoctor and a guy responded that he thought he had a set he got during a trade at some point, that he'd have to check out his garage and he'd get back to me. I PM him my address telling him if he does, indeed have a full left/right set I'm interested in buying them.

The guy just PM's me that he does have a full left right set and that he's going to ship them to me at no charge!

:eek::D

Just when you start losing faith in humanity a guy like that pops up and takes you by surprise. Totally cool.

Thats awesome. Bravo to that guy.

Hey Frizz,

Can you post pics of the work he did?

Here is a comparison shot of his side art next to the semi-gloss side of the WM cab...

A shot of his side art next to a mamemarquees.com marquee...keep in mind I had a hard time capturing the black of the mamemarquees.com marquee because of the material used...it's actually blacker than what is captured.

actually no.

for some reason my bank account # got changed a few months back. I paid for something on ebay, and the guy got his money. but they came after me, and my account was in the negative.

Paypal protects their customers. period.

Paypal doesn't protect anyone besides themselves. If you file a chargeback against someone and they don't have money in their Paypal account you will not be getting anything back. If you used a credit card your cc company may be able to get your money back from Paypal and then they will be more aggressive in getting THEIR money back from the seller. It's a real easy scam that has been going on since Paypal started and they couldn't care less.

Yea I seem to remember that now.

I ordered the MW CPO from Artwork Doctor and just looked at the original one he sent. It is a slightly less black than an original Joust CPO, but it is blacker than a Sinistar and a Moon Patrol CPO (all three appear to be original Williams). I think part of it may be the material used as the protective top layer.

For me, the MW looks good enough. I just wanted something that had all the characters without the Moon Patrol buggy, this fit the bill since I did not know about Tanman and the original films. I may order one of those when I build out my second JROK card.

As far as the adhesive goes, I have had no problems with adhesion. In fact the thinner material made installing it much easier than the last couple of original CPOs on Williams CPs. It made the corners without even threatening to crack.

On the downside, Joe was slow to answer emails and slow to ship, but he did ship the correct CPO (he sent a Moon Patrol sized CPO when I ordered Stargate sized) and he just told me to keep the wrong one. I have it laying flat in a closet until I can get a poster frame the right size and then it will hang in my gameroom.

Whether the colors are 100% accurate or not, I think that CPO is a work of art. I know Joe is just reproducing it, but whoever the original artist was, it is a thing of beauty.

Just my $0.02 worth.
