1 found a avatar on location locally and played a few games on it. not a bad pin at all imo.
good flow, nice light show.not on my top 10 list but its nice to find a pin in the wild that is not beat to hell.if anyone is near me it is at the cinemark 10 on east ave in Chico ca.

There is one at the local horse track. I looked at it but did not play. Seemed very cheap to me. Playfield looked to open. Cheap looking graphics. Backglass was neat though.

You know what game has an open playfield? Attack from Mars.

Just sayin. ;)

It's all in the software. Avatar (and Iron Man) have very tight, addicting code w/ satisfying strategy that doesn't take too long to get the hang of.

Agreed. Although I wasn't a fan of the movie, I find Avatar the pin to be very addicting and enjoy trying to stack modes and the fact that you have to start some modes before others in order to stack them. I have stacked 4 modes at once to get massive points but to keep them all going you have to hit the captive ball to get time added to the modes. But the game is frustrating as hell sometimes. The outlanes are harsh and it is rare to earn an extra ball. I play at Gable House Bowl in torrance, CA. They also have RFM, IJ (stern), and Family Guy. The Laser Tag next door has Elvis and Cactus Canyon.

Down at the old state fairgrounds?

This makes me really mad because a good friend invited me to those race days and never mentioned they had pinball. AND SHE KNOWS I LOVE PINBALL

Was it a VVS or Cardinal machine?

Yes at the state fair grounds. I looked for an operator sticker but didnt see one. Live racing is every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Maybe open wasnt the right word to use. How about empty? The playfield looks empty to me.
