I seem to like the fast noisy stuff like Earth Shaker, BK2000, F-14, but I also really like Xenon, Fathom,Gorgar,Black Hole.... Hmmmmm, so this is how it starts huh??? ..........

I got a avatar during pinball expo and i love it, its not LE, i got mine before they even knew there was an LE, but im still thrilled with it.
You know how you got into vids and one led to another and such. Its the same with pins, except more expensive. Juts make sure that the ones you get are because you want it. Dont fall for the peer pressure, all that will do is cost you $$. Ive got 18 or so in my private collection, and another 40 or so that i work on and get rid of. Most people think that my collection is cool, but those that go after MM, AFM, MB, CC etc kind of collection are usually somewhat snobs (no offense if your one of them) but those people are like why have such and auch pin, the flow sucks, the rules suck, etc, etc. And i simply say, because i like it. Lots of collections dont have GnR, or sopranos, but i grew up with Gnr, and ive seen every episode of of sopranos ant least 5 times. My kids love avatar, so buying NIB and opeing it up with them was awesome and it was worth every penny just seeing there face.
you have not had a noisy game until you get yourself a hyperball

I've been poking around on Rec.Games.Pinball and I HAVE noticed a few people who seem to think you need to spend $8K on each pin to have a worthy collection...

Really? Wow Chris I don't see that or pick up that color at all. The only high priced pissing matches usually revolve around Medievel Madness, Big Bang Bar, or Cactus Canyon (subject to others heh).![]()
Well, there are those....and then the people who want their pins to be HEP or some kind of major restoration....so - that could make "regularly priced" pins into $8k pins. There are definitely people who have collections to "show" and not to play so much....but then again, the more pins you have, the less they will get played...that's just the nature of it. I have 14 set up in the house, but at any given time there are usually 2 or 3 I'm really jamming on. Right now I'm in an Elvis/LOTR/Iron Man phase ...but I still try to mix it up and play my other games.![]()
RGP's a great place (most of the time).
First of all you can stop playing the other two pins and stick to LOTR
I agree - I find myself ingoring my other pins. I feel bad - like they have feelings and I'm hurting them heh heh.

A buddy of mine here in MD has all the high end pins you could ever want so if I get the need to play one I know where to go!!
