A friend of mine called me to fix his centipede. I had 2 spare boards, so I thought no problem.. I go over and his game has garbage on the screen. I meter the +5v and +22v and -22v and they are there on the pcb(I think both were 23.x). I try my pcbs in his game. They work, but no audio. So I figure his ARII has a problem (I did not bring one with me).
So I go back home and put together a centipede project cab I have. I dig out a pile of ARII-02 and start testing them. After going through 4 or 5 that worked but no audio, I found 2 that worked. But the audio is weak on one and the other is a little noisy. I figure they probably need caps.
Now that I know the cab works. I can test my pcbs. I find one of my boards works 100%. The other still has no audio. I tried swapping pokeys and it made no difference. Any ideas on the no audio on the pcb?
