I keep hearing about people going to big auctions and getting killer deals on arcade games and pinballs... Where do you get your information on upcoming auctions?

Internet search works wonders. For example searching for arcade auction nevada turns up a Superauctions event in Vegas on March 14th

Don't count on getting a good deal on a pinball. If its new and working, it will probably go for top dollar.

As for vids, do expect to see many classic games. You will proably find cheap generic 25" cabinets if thats what your looking for..

Auctions arcade specific have kinda went away since most games have filtered down to the collectors/restorers.

I live in cbus, ohio and we are a very central hub to alot of cities and we dont have auctions anymore. Haven't had them in around 3 years.

Michael Angelo Auction Company is based in Cincinnati, OH, and has an Arcade and Amusement Auction listed for March 31, 2012. No details yet on time/location.

Auction Game Sales has auctions scheduled for nearly every month in 2012, alternating between Winston-Salem, NC and Kingsport, TN. They advertise "More than 600 pieces at every sale", but I have yet to drive to one from Michigan. I plan to go May 5. Denny

Watch out for these people... I went to their auction a few months ago and the auctioneer will not only trick people by purposely raising the price during bidding when nobody bid... but they also claim there is no minimum and then when you get there they will pass on everything if the dont get at least 100 for... and if he thinks its worth more Ive seen him pass on a 300 dollar bid.

Shady, plus 10% fee and you gotta pay tax... not a great experience for me.
