Auction ?

Heres How it worked at the one I went to. They start on one side of the room and work there way around calling out which lot number and game are up for sale. At any point you can raise you buyer ticket to make a bid at the current price the auctioneer is calling out. It was def fun experiance but took forever and there where alot of wierdos about ;-)

You need to get a bidder ID, or number
auctioneer starts at a price then comes down until someone bids, then he asks for more bids. item sells at highest bidder, if there is no reserve
A reserve is a price set by the seller when reached, the item sells, if that price is not reached then the item does not sell
then you pay for your item and take it home

Watch for shill bidding. If going to a auction see if you can meet up with another KLOVer that goes often to maybe help out and point out these people. Ask about other fees and how soon you need to remove your purchase. There is a bunch more but I am tired of typing . We have had a lot of post about this issue and transporting.

im at the winston salem auction ( well just left) it starts tomarrow didnt see alot of stuff ,but
i need a little of everything .i just have never been ,what is shell bidding? any other klov's going would love some advice thanks Ron

shill bidding is either someone from the auction company or the owner of the machine bidding up the price. Every now and then an auctioneer will say he had a bid and want another when he has none. Depend on the pace of bidding also

funny thing ,a guy i buy stuff from was there .acted like he didnt see me .i told him i was going he tryed to tell me not to go cuz everything was way overpriced. lol now i know were he gets some of the stuff i buy

Yeah, definitely watch for the shill bidders. You can often tell when one of their games comes up on the auctioning block. You'll see them scramble to try to get into the best position to be seen by the auctioneeers and bid takers, and not seen by everyone else. I'd advise to never bid on a game if you see something like this happening, you'll almost always end up overpaying.
