I was reading in the past that there is an outfit that does an auction near Boston Mass in early to mid December. I am from Orlando where it seemed like there was one every six weeks, but out here in New England... Nothing... I dont really have the patience for all the bickering on craigslist so any ideas would be helpful.

Thx!

Looks like it will be in Canton, MA again this year on Saturday, December 4th. Viewing at 11AM and auction at noon. I got my flyer in the mail a few days ago.

Last year it was at Imperial in Canton, but this year has been moved to East Coast Amusements on 480 Neponset St. Ste 14A in Canton

I've been to 4 of them over the years put on by these auctioneers, and its mostly stuff under $300. Some nice touchscreens went for $150 or less last year, and someone got 5 basketball themed skee ball machines for $25 each. So yeah, you can get a lot of games pretty cheap, but realistically, they aren't necessarily pristine machines either.

You don't usually see any of the Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Galaga type games (I saw a Centipede one year, but thats about it for the really popular games). Usually lots of Golden Tee Golfs, Bowling games, Blitz/NBA Jam type games. Juke boxes tend to show up at these too.

Hope this helps.

oh damn, I wish I knew about this..how do you get on a mailing list?

I got on it because I went to last year's auction and gave them my information beforehand to get a bidder's number. Pretty sure they send it to everyone who attended last year's auction.

There were a couple last year (can't remember what they were).

My first couple auctions I saw a SHAQ pinball machine and a Cyclone . Over the years I have seen a few others, mainly 1990s models, but nothing I can name off the top of my head.

Wasn't much there today. Close to 10 World Class Bowling games, 3 Golden tee Golf 2005 versions, a couple NFL blitzes, an SNK game, Captain America game, 2 Area 51s, a few jukeboxes and recreational ticket games, plus 5 pinball machines (Spares and Strikes, Dr. Dude and 3 other ones I forget the names of) and some touchscreens. I think there may have been something like 70 pieces all together, which is about 50 less than most years. A couple of the jukeboxes went for less than $300 which was the only thing that really surprised me.
