Hello - I'm new to the forum and new to collecting. I'm currently restoring (slowly but surely) a Donkey Kong upright. My question is: I live about 5 hours away from the Auction Game Sales auctions in TN. Does anyone know if these auctions would be worth the trip? I'd like to pick up some games, no titles in particular I'd just like to get some things to work on relatively cheap. Any info would be much appreciated.

Don't know about those particular auctions but the ones in Mesquite, TX are worth going to. There are some good buys to be had, especially if you are handy with a soldering iron.

Just be patient, set a max dollar amount to spend and be VERY careful to not go over the amount when auction fever sets in. Keep your eyes out and see who is being a shill bidder or just plain being an asshole and bidding prices up on people.

It is absolutely worth the trip. We go from Philly every month to either Winston Salem or Kingsport Tn.
Mark and Bill run an amazing auction.
However it depends on what your looking for most of the games are jamma games and driving games. They usually only get a hand full of classics. You can never predict what will be there. But if you are looking for jamma games, Deer hunters, shooters, drivers, fighting style, golfs, redemption games this is definitely worth the trip.
They also get a ton of multicades. They can almost guarantee 600-1000 pieces at every auction.
30-50 mega touches
30-50 Classics
100-150 driving games
200-300 jamma games
100-150 redemption games
50 -100 pool tables/air hockeys/ dart boards/ kiddie rides
Probably missing something
