Auction Game Sales Timonium MD who's going??

I guess it's probably a little late to be asking, but did anyone make it there Friday night to look around? Anything worth mentioning?

DogP

Yea..... I was expecting an update on this by now. I did not make it down Friday night, got stuck at the York Show. Anybody coming to York today??? Will be having a fire sale on pcb's today.....

Well,it was pretty much a waste of a day, time, and gas for me as usual. I am officially calling it quits for good on auctions. I was there from 10 to 3 and came home with one game. Good thing it was cheap so it wasn't a total waste. Bumped into a few other KLOV'rs who voiced their dissapointment also. The pins went for to much as usual and people who didn't know any better paid more for mediocre titles then what they would actually be worth to us.

I know u said the auction sucked but did u get a list and prices of some of the games!

Most pins I seen at auction, got titles, not sure on some of the prices:

Last Action Hero x2 - $625 & $950ish
Medieval Madness - $6800 (nice playfield, condition but I think pssbl issue with flipper, didnt play)
Iron Man - $2750 (buyback?)
Family Guy $3k+?
Hook X2 - ? (this is actually a decent game, added to my new wanted list)
Bride of Pinbot - $900 (wanted this one, got too high, playfield really decent, no broken parts, played really good, let it go at $850)
Waterworld - ?
High Roller Casino
Pirates of the Caribeeansino - seemed most of the newer Stern titles were arnd $2800ish (buybacks is my guess)
Taxi - literally no balls, but looked good ?
Space Jam - dirty
Indiana Jones (new and old) too much
Goldeneye - way too much $1900+ and I think it had issues, younger guy really wanted it bad but it was probably good he backed out
Kiss - again another that went way too high, seemed to be alot of people bidding against the owners - but thats just seemed to be my opinion, usually was the same people/person bidding against other random people
Jurassic Park - ?
Comet - seemed decent but went way too high
Rollergames

Bunch older 70's-80's pins and some I'm sure where left out.

Ended up leaving half way through the second room, mainly crane machines, redemption games and gigantic driving games left, nothing that really interested me.

Not many decent classic arcades, mostly shooter and sit down machines. Most were in the $300-$500 range. Kinda felt bad for this mom who really wanted a Multicade she kept getting outbidded on each one (a s-ton of those, shocker). Really nice Bubbles, Centipede, decent Dig Dug (younger Scott Pilgrimish guy bought it), nice Spy Hunter (that guy was really happy, said he had never seen one that nice before), Zaxxon, Space Invaders (cab was pretty beat up), Asteroids, Mario Bros x2, DK3, DKjr (not working), Pac-man plus caberet ? - pretty jacked up but may have been conversion? Nice looking Pac-Mania, Smash Tv (wanted to see what that went for, looked complete but wasnt on)

Also saw a converted Tapper I think (i left before they got to that one, some weird title was put in it, but had the complete bottom of tapper, bronze metal parts, foot rest and even still had the fake greenish looking wood grain at the bottom, poor tapper.
Oh another game that made me feel like ODB was Gals Panic 2 - pretty beat up but worked - younger boy and his mom was next to me before I "exposed the girl" thats a weird ass game. Mom noticed the chick on the screen and walked in the opposite direction, pretty funny.

Really wanted a lot of PCB's early on(15+, 2 Neo geo carts, but then again - too much for me not knowing if they worked, etc) $190 I think. Samurai Showdown 1 & 2, Paperboy and other really decent titles. Damn you Zoo York tshirt guy!

Overall I liked what I saw but was way too rich for my blood based on the condition/prices of most. Out of the 500+ games I was there for, I only bid on one which was the Bride of Pinbot (another must have pin now!)

Who was the guy wearing the KLOV shirt? Spoke with Wick and his friend who wanted Last Action Hero. We did the whole look at my phone pics of my collection thing. Good guy.

How much did the Smash TV go for?

I was curious about this one also. I really wanted it but it was probably 2 more hrs until they would finally get to it. I fooled with it trying to at least get sound out of it but all I got was neck glow. Whoever got it also got a spare board with it

this was probably one of the last rows auctioned probably so I left way before that, anyone else stick around to the end?

It was the second to last row, after that was 4-5 soda machines. I wonder if the last few got any steals? By the second room the group dropped in attendance a pretty good bit.

yeah i made the mistake at the harrisburg auction waiting around to the last row to checkout and paid for it by waiting another hour or so in line to pay for machines, and I only had like 10 people in front of me.

I was there for about 45 minutes....I live only 10 minutes away and still felt as though it was a colossal waste of time....I came home and hugged my arcade machines..

I had a good time as usual. Brought a truck full of crap, and left with a truck full of much more respectable equipment. Got that Gravity Hill in the Buy it NOw for 375... that was a steal! Space Jam pinball for 750 in decent shape. A Virtua Striker 3 half ass conversion with a Naomi 2 GD Rom system for 135. A bunch of cabs that I will harvest working K7000 monitors out of for 35-50 bucks.

And the best one... a working Power Stone for $50. Power Stone is a Naomi game that uses the Capcom converter setup. Plus, the cabinet had some kind of vinyl sticker all over the side of it. Hmm... I wonder what this cabinet could be if I peel back the sticker...

Oh, and just for fun, here is a picture of a Guitar Hero in the back of a PT Cruiser. I SHIT YOU NOT.

Dude, that knife fight happened right after I left to drop off the first round of the trailer load (as in I heard the ambulance go by as I got onto 83. My games were all piled up less than 20 feet from the puddle too, that just blows my mind!

Medieval Madness for $6800? With a flipper issue? I knew those machines were up there but that's just stupid. I like the game but you can a pin that is just as fun for about a quarter of that money!

Agreed, the pin is very fun but not $6800 worth of fun. I guess you can think of it as an "investment" as it will just go up in value as the years pass. I finally got to play the new Tron pin that everyone freaks out about and again,it was pretty fun but not for $5000 IMO.
