Ok..I've been to plenty of Auctiongamesales Winston-Salem auctions..but never the Kingsport TN. Its about an extra 1hr+ drive for me. Is it worth it to go there? Would I likely see stuff there that doesn't make it to Winston-Salem?

Just looking for opinions from people who have been to both.

I'm going to assume by the deafening silence in this thread that it can be pretty good and that some of you guys that go to the Kingsport auctions don't want another buyer showing up. LOL

I've never been to Kingsport, but I've been to the Knoxville ones along with Winston-Salem and they all seem the same to me:

hit or miss

Don't get me wrong- you could find something to buy at any of them.

I have only been to the Knoxville auction a few times (several years back), but it was generally a good auction. Just don't expect the auction guys to actually know anything about games! I once sold a dedicated classic game that they promoted as being a conversion. The auctioneer and I spoke afterwards and his response was something along the lines of... "What do you expect? I sell used cars for a living..." I was lost as to a way to even respond to that... :)

I have always bought more from the Winston-Salem auctions. I guess it really depends on what type of games you're after. I have bought 20 + games many times in Winston-Salem but never over 5 in TN. To me it seems like the games I'm after are higher priced in Kingsport. If you want pinball then I would say Kingsport is the place to go. 52 pinballs there at the last auction. Winston Salem had 15 or so if you take away all the older ones and bingos. About a 6 hour drive for me to Kingsport so having the auction at the hotel makes it much more convenient especially when the wife goes. She can go up to the room whenever she gets bored etc.

No- Auction Game Sales used to do their auction in Knoxville (or nearby- can't remember the name of the city). They changed locations to Kingsport several years ago.
