Attract sound On/Off?

Mine are mostly on. After moving Gyruss (Venus) near the couch (seating area) I had to turn that one off. I have the volume up fairly high because I like the game sounds, but after awhile Gyruss just got to me.

Q*bert can be another annoying one, but he's far enough away that it doesn't really bother.

Come to think of it, I don't really have too many games with attract sounds, but I have some. I may do the Tron mod to get those Tron sounds since our game room is named 'The Game Grid Arcade'.

I used to enjoy a quiet gameroom, but the more games I got, the more I wanted attract sound, and it has become an addiction. Aside from what I can "normally" turn on, DK. & Jr. now have attract sound with the Braze kits. Tron also has attract sound since I did this mod:

I did end up turning off attract sound in Satans Hollow though because a sound kept getting "stuck". Looking to finish another game or two and then Ill be making an updated video of the gameroom, its pretty noisy now and I love it.

i did the R135 mod to enable attract sound on my SH, and like you experienced, it gets stuck on a sound after a few minutes
did you ever find a way to make it work ?
i wonder if anyone has a solution for it?

The only attract sound on in my gameroom is the start sound on pole position. I haven't pulled it out to try to turn it off yet.

When I had the sounds on the games, I found them to be really annoying when not actually playing.

If the games have attract mode, they're always on in my game room. Not sure why you would want a quiet arcade myself. That actually reminds of my wife. Whenever we watch movies in the theatre, she secretly tries to turn off the subwoofer so that the bass is nearly non-existent. What's the point of having a home theatre then? If you don't like bright lights do you remove the marquee bulbs as well? I have noticed that some can get repetitive, but when they are all on at once, it is easy to tune the 1 or 2 annoying ones out.

It really depends. If I've only got one or two machines on, hearing the same tune or two repeatedly gets old fast.

When you've got a lot of machines on from different eras and manufacturers it's more like an electronic symphony.

That being said, I always leave attract sound on because it adds something to the ambiance. It is very tempting to disable the games with attract MUSIC though.

Also -> ATTRACT MODE SOUND - ON (the only way to go)
