So I'm finishing restoring a nice orange taito crazy climber, but the sticks were really sloppy.. I considered replacing them with newer sticks as there is a link on Rothblog on how to do it, but I'd like to keep this one totally original.. Ended up finding one nos stick a few weeks ago in a warehouse buy.. Which was a huge help as the top plate on both of mine is so worn and blown out I couldn't figure out what shape hole was supposed to be there (rounded square, circle, etc)..

So, I've got a buddy who's a 30+ year machinist.. Gave him the top plate of the stick and asked if he could make up a few new ones for me.. If this works out, I may have a few sets to sell.. This is just the top plate that is screwed into the base with 2 screws.. It's the main part that gets worn after years of abuse.. I'll upload a pic of the plate later on tonight..

So here is the question, anyone out there interested in a set?

He should have one for me to test out next wendesday.. Please let me know if there is interest.. No idea of price yet, may be cheap..may be expensive.. No idea.. Just looking to offer a part to collectors that isn't available..

This is for the orange (or red) taito Crazy Climber.. Not sure what the sticks look like on the other versions..

You mean you're not going to follow that awesome tutorial on rotheblog? The guy who did that must be one smart dude. :)

I'd be interested in a set. I saved my original sticks.

Crazy Climber Joystick Plate..

Here is the top plate that i'm talking about.. You can see in the picture below that the hole the stick goes through is totally blown out.. This plate is what i'm having reproduced..

Heh.. I actually was going to follow your post on Rothblog.. but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to keep the game original.. It's fun trying to source/reproduce parts for random ass games... ;)

May be in for a set.

Your avatar pic cracks me up.

Cocktail

Sorry, haven't a clue if cocktails take the same sticks... Only have the taito upright here.. Well it seems like there is a need for these. So I'll try and get a quote on 10 sets.. Should know in a week..

My game is the cabaret and it uses the same plate.
