Attention Megatouch owners...thoughts, advice, ect. wanted.

I have a MAXX counter top. Just upgraded the emerald software to Crown and now it has 120+ games and its a blast! The kids love it and its the most played game I have! I bought mine from a long time operator and he recommended the MAXX over the newer Force or RADION because they all pretty much play the same games but the MAXX hardware seems to be much more reliable. At least that was his experience. He said his Forces and Radions were always breaking, but the MAXX's were work horses!

Just curious, aren't those Crown upgrades like $300 or $400 or did you pay much less?

Yeah, I paid $250, way more then I should have but having all the extra games is cool. I got it from ebay and the kit came with new hard drive, security key, new cpu fan, memory upgrade and cabinet stickers. I figure I can sell my Emerald drive and key for a 100 bucks and recoupe some of the money.

I got an older version (Super Megatouch IV) locally for $100.

It's not as flashy as the newer models, but whenever there are people over, it gets alot of play.

They are HEAVY. At least mine is for the size. Like others have said, I'd look locally for one.

I have a pair of older MT6s and love them to death. They have the games I love the most (Tri-Towers, Run 21 and 11-Up) but don't have PhotoHunt. What I like the most is that I was able to MegaLink them together for head-to-head play on a few games. It does make a bit of a difference!

You can still find the older ones like a 6 for about $100 anymore. Kinda sucks for me since I bought mine 10-11 years ago for $350 and $500 (the going rate at that time).

An older force would probably be the best choice, but if not you don't want to go lower than a Maxx Sapphire. The Maxx machines are so cheap now there's no need to get an XL or CRT-260 level. If you can find a Force though I wouldn't hesitate.
