I'm looking at the Atomiswave Manual (or a scanned version of it which is kind of cut off), and it says it supports Medium Res monitors (dip switch 1) but I'm still getting the tri screen effect on my Wells Gardner 25k7501. I've been trying to go figure out what's going on. Does anyone have any suggestions, and know what to check with? Anyone familiar with this system?

I thought Atomiswave supported Standard or High res, not medium.

Just checked the manual and it does 15khz and 31khz, which is standard and high(VGA) resolution. Does not support Medium resolution.

Go to sega's arcade website, and look up the game "Faster than Speed", they have the manual there you can download for free and it's got all the atomiswave stuff in it (I know because i'm working on a couple right now :)

yeah, to my understanding the Atomiswave hardware is functionally identical to the Sega Dreamcast, while the Sega NAOMI (and even more-so NAOMI 2) is a more powerful variant of the Dreamcast.

I never thought much about it, but I about shit myself when I went to do Zombie Revenge with medium res only to find out the NAOMI only supported standard and high res... only makes sense that Atomiswave is the same way.

in the case of my ZR though, it was a U5000 and was just a jumper switch away from being standard res. sorry to hear you can't use your K7500 with it.

good luck sir.
