Atari Vindicators Restoration

What an incredible save :top:! Top work indeed:D!

If classic games are that sought after down there in Oz I'm surprised someone isn't shipping them by the container load from South California (similar to how folks here import candies by the container).

Great work on a title I have fond memories of playing when it was new :).

That is gorgeous! You did an amazing job and Vindicators will now probably go up in price here on KLOV as a result..lol.

Revive-a-thread time.

I'm freshening up a vindicators cabinet in roughly the same shape as you started. Not committed to the game enough to go as far as you did yet.

On your control bars and metal panel, did you powder coat or paint?

On the same topic did the inside plastic come off easily? Mine didn't want to come off without serious force so I dropped them in the ultrasonic cleaner first to see if it's any easier.

I powder coated everything. The handles and marquee bezel

deal with the buttons first before you dive too deep. I grabbed a few NOS ones when they could be had like 30+ years ago. same buttons on some roadblasters panels... but at least roadblasters can use the star wars style controller(much better design).

I think I once read an article saying that the button was used on an old computer keyboard.

stephen lists 4 in stock.. has the handle shafts and the buttons too.
