Was fixing some games for some people and the next one they want repaired is Vindicators. The game has no sound. I was running out of time when I was there but took a quick look. They did not have the key for the front door and I did not have my drill with me to drill it out ( i will when I go back) but i did see that it had a Sanyo XM200 monitor in it. It looked to be original in there , just want to verify that is the monitor that belongs in it. I know this game has an audio board too so the problem could be in a couple different places. Also curious if that same audio board is used in any other games ?

Edit: They also have a Toobin, looks like it has almost the same audio board but a different dash number. Anyone know if they are interchangeable before I spend time looking at the schematic.

Have only met one Vindicators but its lack of sound was due to a dead 6502 CPU on the audio board. Have met a few other systems with dead 6502 CPUs in them too so they are clearly not the most robust chips. On Vindicators it's socketed so a quick and easy fault to rule out, but you may find you have to troubleshoot it normally.
