Hello all.
I've got an Atari Video Pinball Arcade that I just got recently up and running.
Wanted to go through the menu screen to fix any minor problems.
Read through the manual, and engaged the test switch on the inside of the coin door and got the following to display on the monitor.
Tried pressing the buttons and plunger and all I get is an audio beep.
The attached photo is all I can get from the test menu.
Any ideas?

Thats it... You get these tests on that screen:

You get all the red leds on
You get a number that correlates to the plunger position
You get audio test and button test with each button press
Edit: oh yeah and you get littlw white dots for screen alignment i think

I saw this on YouTube.
I'm not getting anything to display other than the number "28".

I've never seen those screens on mine, you sure the CatBox isn't creating those screens?

I can check mine tonight, but the backdoor sheet doesnt mention it

Ok, I'm going to sound like a newbie here, but I did see that on the youtube description.

Its an Atari diagnostic tool... Thats about all i know, but it accesses parts of the board at a low enough level that those screens could be coming from it... Maybe an expert can chime in

Also say this youtube video.
Any suggestions?

What is a cat box?

A Catbox is an Atari test device which combines a signature analyzer and some basic bus control, allowing you to read and write devices mapped into the board's memory — RAM, ROM, inputs, and so on.

The video says "cat box replacement," I'd guess that someone has interfaced custom equipment using the manufacturing test connector (which is what the Catbox uses). While you could do what's shown in the video with a Catbox, you'd have to have assembled a program ahead of time and key in the hex using the keypad. The Catbox is fairly rudimentary, and this is a time-consuming and annoying process. Based on that and the description, I don't think it's an actual Catbox.
