I'd never realized there was an Atari version of Time Pilot until I saw this photo...

That looks like a Gyruss type cab? Anyone have a side art photo?

I think Scotts is Xevious? I can't remember now.

Atari also licensed Popeye in that cab - rare as hell - people remember them back in the day, but not one collector in Europe has an Atari Popeye.

I'd say there's probably a good 10 Atari Timepilots in collectors hands.

The other cab that came in this style is Millipede, Europe didn't get the US style cabinet for that game.

scott has alot of protos.. I think he also has another proto in that style of cabinet.. Could be xevious or crstal castles..

I found a pic of the time pilot in the 2008 panaroama shots(right next to cyberstorm). I remember when he got it. It has a hand done control panel overlay and marquee. Pretty sure scotts has no side art.

Side art is very cool with the f4 on the side..

I found this out a couple years by searching marquees on ebay and stumbled upon this...

That Atari version's siderart is sick! Which version do you guys like better, Atari or Centuri?

Slighty biased here as this is one of the top games from my youth, but I like the Centuri art package way better:

Now that is cool looking. But I'd have to say the Centuri version looks a little better. Nonetheless, I would love to own that euro style cab.

I usually don't like woodgrain cabs... but the two woodgrain cabs I don't mind...hell, actually like... are Time Pilot and Frogger... ONLY if the side art is intact.

Bare wood grain cabs remind me of ghetto conversion cabs of the early 80's...the cabs you'd see Crazy Kong or some other hack installed in.
