How do I get an Atari Tetris out of cocktail mode?

It is show vertical oriented opposite facing boards instead of the horizontal side by sides with the dancing guy in the middle.

Looked in the setup menus and did not find a setting. Only 4 DIP switched ,no use .

Help?

I think that's a cocktail-only game. Maybe an EPROM-swap?

Hmmm.. Disappointing

Sad to hear that Atari Games would not install a switch and make a single run of the boards.

Anyone have the EPROM or codes?

The manuals (http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Arcade_Atari_Kee/Tetris/) don't describe any upright/cocktail dipswitch, nor even seem to acknowledge the existance of the cocktail version.

MAWS lists a 2 upright version & 2 cocktail versions, as different romsets:
http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/atetrisc
http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/atetris

Looks like the upright ROMs were labeled:
136066-1100 & 136066-1101
...and the cocktail ROMs were:
136066-1102 & 136066-1103

No dancing guy in the middle, though. Perhaps you're thinking of another version... there were many.

Yeah you would think Atari would have the option for cocktail mode like a lot of games did. There are several members here on the forum that can burn the 2 upright version eproms for you and that should take care of it. I wonder why they didn't make it a selectable option, but I seem to recall that Capcom Bowling's manual also mentions a cocktail version kit.

Edit: Looks like it's also a vertical display for the cocktail version and a horizontal display for the upright.
