Atari System II

720
APB
Paperboy
Championship Sprint
Super Sprint

I think that is all...

Wait...I think Toobin' is a System II as well...

Never mind... talking to myself again:

720°
Paperboy
Championship Sprint
Super Sprint
APB : All Points Bulletin

Where the boards interchangable like with System I?

I think you misunderstood friz. He's not asking if the boards are interchangeable with Sys I games. He just means are they interchangeable with each other within the sys. II lineup.

AH! You're right... I miss read. Yes... they are interchangeable... for the most part. The differences are in the controllers and the control harnesses. All boards SYSTEM II board accept all conrols for System II games, but the controller HARNESS is different. I had to get a Championship Sprint controller harness to convert my Paperboy to CS...

Cool. So which is the one you change? The CPU or the video (I am assuming the video).

I actually bought a 2nd complete set (vid and cpu) so i could run both boards in the cab with little trouble exchanging them.

makes sense... I am have a line on a Champion sprint, but the other games (paperboy/720) might kill me... LOL

Keep in mind a 720 uses a different cab with a 25" monitor. You could, I am sure, play it in a standard System II cab, but you'll have to hack in the controls. I wouldn't though...

Actually, only Championship Sprint and Paperboy use that cab. APB has it's own, 720 has it's own, Super Sprint has it's own and Toobin' has it's own dedicated cab.

Oh, and I suspect the never-released GREMLINS game was System II, though it could have been System I.

Was Escape From The Planet Robot Monsters sysII?

Wait, it was like 1990, so its prolly JAMMA.

There is a CPU and a VIDEO board. There are ROMS on each that you have to swap for changing games as well as a protection chip (slapstic).

There are 35 eproms on APB here. It's a lot easier to switch out the two whole boards for changing games. 35 chip swaps later, I think the chance of a bent/broken pin is high.
