Atari System II Sideart...Interest?

I did mention a preorder to ProK so we can just do them all at once, so we'll see.

But I can say if he dosnt and I print them they'll be double in price

If someone wants to start an interest or preorder list, I'll take one set for my Paperboy resto.

I see nothing wrong doing a deposit or preorder for something like this.

I'd preorder/deposit as well. I don't have a need for a set yet, but I do want a Paperboy some day and I'm sure it would need new sideart.

If we're doing an interest list I will preorder 2 sets. Even if the price is double (which would be what, $120?). I guess I really don't need 3 sets, one spare for two machines is plenty.

And if dropouts are an issue I vote to do a preorder, not deposits. Not my call, but that is the only sure way to ensure you don't end up sitting on unpurchased stock.

Ill check with ProK and see if we can come up with a game plan for these
LIke Brian said we do these in small batches for him this helps keeps the price down.
and it would be nice to know how many people really want a set so we can print enough
not too much or not enough.

stay tooned...

OK we will start a 2 week preorder on these as soon as ProK updates his site
Price will be $80+shipping per set and we need to run at least 10 sets.
since we just havnt been doing that much of these it just dosnt make sense to print and stock them.

After that they may only be avaiable as a one-off for $125per set

turn time will be quick Ive already started printing some sets for him.
just want to be sure we do enough to cover everyone that needs them.

Ill post up as soon as its officially ready

Awe, the hell with it.....

....Riki - I'll be in for a set. My currently semi-working Paperboy is naked on the sides. I don't want to grow old feeling like a pedophile every time I look at that poor old machine....:(

Set aside a set of that sweet Saphire Blue vinyl so I can complete the D2K machine I have (have any more side art for that, too?)....I'll just have you ship all at the same time to save a little $$...

I'd be in for one set for my Paperboy. I missed out on the last run. Let me know.

Will this cover the entire cabinet sides or will it need to go over a layer of while vinyl applied first?

Either way, glad to see it happening. I'm in for one set for sure.

Hopefully it will be sold alongside the art then? Maybe package it 'for the System 2 cabinet', so that it's 2 pieces, cut to approximate size.

Thisoldgame has that as well. Might want to get that ASAP though as it seems to tend to sell out and then not get printed again for a while.

Wasn't when I did mine. Just order 13 feet of white vinyl when you order the side art.

Yeah, that'll work... I tell ya what I'd like to try is a tube swap on my Paperboy monitor. It has a lot of burn in. I assume convergence is more critical on a medium res monitor than standard? I've read the tubes aren't necessarily different.

If you stumble across a list of potential donor tubes, or get anywhere with that please post about it. I wanna replace the monitor in my APB, maybe my Champ Sprint as well (or the tube if I can source one).

Well, in one place I'll read that a medium res tube is a different tube than a standard/tv tube. Another person says the tubes are the same, it's the chassis that makes it medium res. On the other hand, there were standard res and medium res Amplifone color vector monitors, so I just don't know. I did pick up a 'med res' specific yoke, so I can try the swap out without disturbing the yoke on my working, but burnt monitor.

Yeeeah, I mean that is what I'm hoping to avoid, searching for a new yoke, trial and error, etc. Just wanna find a matching donor, swap yoke, converge, adjust, fine tune, and move on. That's why I was hoping to just spend the extra coin on a new/NOS med res to toss in there, but I'm about a year late to that party. :/

I guess I could just steal the TVs from every motel room I stay in until I find something that works. :D
