OK... got a possible trade going on but wanted some opinions. A local guy has a Super Hang On, a Carnival, and a Dig Dug... all are "supposed" to be in good shape (waiting on photos). The guy really wants my Marble Madness.

I'm considering a trade...

I was thinking MM for Super Hang On and Carnival.

Opinions?

I'd keep the IJ and RB kits and sell them off separate.

Do you think you will play those more that Marble Madness? Is Carnival that good of a game? Personally, I would stick with the Atari System 1. You just put that damn thing together!

I play Carnival a lot on my Arcadeshop cab... believe it or not.

....and I've not played Super Hang On in 20+ years... I seem to remember it being a fun game, but that was the sit down one. This is the upright.

Dude wants $400 for just the Super Hang On though...

I think someone is getting the "I want a new game" itch. :)

Atari System 1 - Pure awesome and you have the other kits for it.

Super Hang-On - Meh.

Carnival - Meh.

But to each his own. Do what you think you'll enjoy the most in the long run.

Super Hang On is super common and super boring, no demand for it. Maybe things are different in your neighborhood, but I've seen uprights sit for a couple years listed at $150. Carnival is a fun game, but no way I'd ever trade it for MM.

Keep the MM no matter what and consider buying Carnival for $200.

I concur with my esteemed colleague.

I've not seen any Super Hang On's in the area since I started... though I heard of one. :)

I'm likely not sold on the idea...hence my posting...

I would not make that trade. Super hang on is very common and if you have Carnival on your arcadeshop cab, just stick with that. MM is a tough to find game, and I am sure you could find a much better trade if you are looking to part with it. I thought you were going to say he would trade all 3. I would not trade the MM for all three.

+1.... Stick with the Marble Madness.

I had a Hang On, and it rarely got played. I would definitely rather have road Blaster. If you do the trade and want to ppart the RB kit, let me know. I keep threatening to find out what is wrong with mine, but I just never have time, so it might be time to buy one.

Unless Carnival is really a favorite of yours, I probably would suggest saying no to the trade.

Do you PLAY Marble Madness? Would you PLAY Carnival and SHO more? Thats what this is about. PLAY your games. Dont have them for the "look at me!" factor.

What is funny is that I tend to WORK on my machines more than PLAY them...

... but yeah, I do PLAY MM from time to time... it's great for a 'quick' game between cleaning shitty diapers and getting phone calls from the boss.

If it was like Hang-On + Afterburner + Out Run + Carnival - then you'd have a good deal going. I'd keep the MM. I've seen a few Hang-On uprights in the OH/MI/PA area over the last year and they all go cheap.

You'd be losing out badly if you make that trade.
