Atari System 2 owners - 720, Paperboy, APB, Championship Sprint, Super Sprint

It would seem that there is enough interest for me to do a run of Atari System 2 harness'. I have a template in hand, but it is trashed pretty good like most System 2 harness'.

I will not have a price until I get the prototype done. I am looking at including new board headers with the harness because usually the headers are burnt up.

I am moving next month, and my move will cause a delay in this project as well as the other projects we have going on right now.

What I need right now, is an idea of how many people need a System 2 harness? This will help me get started on the pricing out the parts needed to do a run, and how large of a run to make.
Thanks,
Dok

I don't think I need one, but if you need to measure any wiring in my Champ. Sprint let me know.

I'm in.

I'd double check that the harness is universal for all System II games. I'm not sure it is valid for Championship Sprint and Paperboy. Paperboy and CS used a combination of Switching PS and AR III PCB while the others(720,APB,Super Sprint?) used a Single Switching PS for the +5V and an Audio II PCB.

I would like to come take a few measurements and pics after I get moved.

I haven't got all of the small details worked out yet. Small details are any differences needed between the 5 different games.

Right now, I am just trying to figure out whether to make a run of 10 or a run of 20.

We may offer these in sections as well as complete harness'.
Possible sections are:
1. video
2. sound
3. power
4. switcher power
5. coin door
6. main

I have an APB in pieces right now... I would be up for a complete harness... mine is not bad shape but I would be psyched to have it spanky new!

I could probably use one for my upcoming Paperboy project. From the looks of it, the current harness just doesn't look right. However I really have not looked at it in detail but I can tell you it has 2 big blues connected to it and I can only find one in the manual. Only time will tell.

Atari System 2 repro harnesses

Dokert,

I hope the unpacking has been going well. Do you still plan to do a system 2 wiring harness repros over the next few months??? Please let me know anything I can do to help.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Just ordered some .100 connectors and pins for the cp to cpu board harness interface last night. (p24 to p103 & p106)

would it help to have a complete harness pulled from a 720 machine?
i have an old one and am getting another sent to me this week.. i would still love to replace it with a new one, and if you want a template i can send you one to use if it helps?
let me know
thanks

That would be awesome! It would help out a lot. The template that I currently have is pretty rough.

Just received a boardset and another harness to use as a template last week. I also have a Championship Sprint due in a couple of weeks weather permitting. Also picked up a EGA to VGA converter a couple of days ago for testing.
