i've just wanted to replace a blown fuse on my marble madness system 1 cab (labeled on the picture as "sicherung fehlt", which means "fuse missing" in german) when i realized that there is NO WIRE going away from fuse F3. i've circled the corresponding fuse on the attached picture. Their should be a wire going away from that thing, shouldn't there? If not, what would the use be of such a fuse?
I have some unused wires "hanging around" in the cab, so if a wire were to be used, which one would it be? Could you point me in the right direction, please?
Thx a lot for your help, don't want to turn that thing on in that state!

p.s.: cleaning that thing wouldn't hurt either ;)

noone? could someone with a system 1 cab (and i'm sure there are a lot of people around here who have one) please "crawl into" their cab and check whether the fuse wire is missing there, too?

heres the power schematic for the fuse block.
Ill try to get a look at mine later - clean off your fuse label so you can id which one is which.

by comparing the schematic to your pic I would say your missing the 3a, 250v main fuse at f1 - put one in there. I dont believe the other fuse holder is needed - according to the schematic at least.
good luck.

thx, but i've already stated above that there is a fuse missing at f1 (because it blew). this has already been replaced, but the f3 problem remains unsolved. IF f3 doesn't carry a function, why is there a fuse in it and why is there at least one wire running towards it?

The schematic suggests to me that F3 is one of the 12VAC rails. The other 12VAC rail being F2. My advice is to look at the appropriate wiring diagram and see where the 12VAC should run to, then make the appropriate connection.

I don't know Sytem 1 cabs at all, but I'd guess the 12VAC iss used somewhere for audio. Complete guess though. The wiring diagram will tell you.

I'm feeling lucky today, so I'll also speculate that the wiring from F3 should terminate fairly close to wherever the wiring from F2 terminates.

Why?

Isn't it easier to download the schem (which you're going to need anyway)? I've given you the answer you need. The schem that's been helpfully posted even tells you the colour of the wire you should be looking for !!

ok,
I climbed into my cab and took a few shots - heres a good one.

Apparently mine is missing the wire as well. Mine works just fine. so if your going just by colors:
Red -> red
Ppl -> Ppl
Brn -> Blk
there you go!

its hard to tell because your picture is close up, but F2 and F3 have a red and purple wire which goes to the two pins before the break on the sound board connector. on the other end of those terminals, there are oranges wires (one on each terminal) which goes to the isolation transformer.
