Hi all,
I'm trying to get a handle on the value of my collection of Atari System 1 games and I'm turning to this forum for some guidance. Any information would be helpful to me as to value of pictured items. I don't want to piece out this stuff but would rather keep each kit intact and complete for others to enjoy.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

a box.com user??? You must be in the Bay Area.
I've never met any users from anywhere else in the world.

And those kits are gorgeous! Are they all NOS?
I've also never seen all 5 kits in the same place.

doesn't look nos.

What part doesn't look NOS? Looks pretty NOS to me. Only one that looks used is Road Blasters CP and marquee. The other ones look new.

I've had the original cardboard boxes that Atari System I kits were shipped in. They were just cardboard boxes. I've never seen the boxes pictured here. Has anyone else ever seen these before?

My guess (and it is totally a guess):

Marble Madness $450
Road Blasters $100 (this one does look used)
Road Runner $300
Peter Packrat $300
Indy Jones $300

the boxes look like someone had them made/bought them. The kits did not sell in those boxes. MAYBE if atari did them for an AMOA show, but you would think they would have been tagged with shipping stickers. For the boxes to have any added value, you would need proof they came from atari.

Did not look at all the pics, but peter packrat control panel looks like a repro. The blues look way off. Looks like a repro marquee too along with original damaged one.

If the packrat was original, I would say its worth $500+ for the kit(they only made 700 of them). $300 for for the indy and $350+ for the road runner kits.

Also, if they were actually something rare/unique, you would figure he would have had relief pitcher too.

I agree about the boxes. All my kits have come in either white boxes (blank boxes) or in Atari System I branded boxes (blue and white).

Regarding the condition, you can easily see that basically everything is in good to very good condition overall but not mint (or NOS) and also, several headers are repros because all System I (and System II) headers are "antiglare" and you can also see that the print of the 2nd Peter Packrat header doesn't quite fit (Atari logo) properly for example. The Marble Madness CPO has probably been changed. The first Peter Packrat header is original (has the usual flaking).

Prices are high especially for Peter Packrat in this condition, I would say that it would easily fetch $500 to $600. Marble Madness probably around $500, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Road Runner probably between $400 to $500 and RoadBlasters around $250.

But hey, if I hadn't better stuff myself (and several kits of each game) I would buy it in a heartbeat! So, good luck with the sales! :)

To save people from having to download a 138mg zip file, here's a pic of the boxes that are being mentioned. The other pics show condition of the items, but they aren't anything you haven't seen before. Basically pieces to Atari System I games. Almost all items look to be in very good to excellent condition, however, as mentioned, some piece look to be repros.

my system 1 box is used to store christmas ornaments, because they're just cardboard boxes meant for mass produced games.

of course those are some sort of aftermarket camera, or storage equipment boxes with atari stickers or vinyl applied. OE stuff is not that fancy, and usually boring boxes with some sort of screened logo or sticker.

those games didn't all come out at the same year, so it would be odd that anything would have matching boxes or packaging, let alone that rugged.

Thanks so much for your info. This is what I've been looking for. As for the boxes, they're custom made for the System 1 games. They're much better and stronger then cardboard.

Having all five System 1 kits myself and having bought and sold a few over the last year or two, here is my opinion:

Marble Madness $450
Road Blasters $100
Road Runner $350
Peter Packrat $400
Indy Jones $250

Relief Pitcher? I didn't realize that it was released for the Atari System 1 units. I thought that it was a JAMMA game. Anyone want to comment on this?

Thanks Joe. This is the kind of information I've been seeking. What do you know of the game Relief Pitcher? Is this a System 1 game?

Thank you Kingpin for your information. This is what I've been looking for.

it was proto done for system 1. Atari did not release it and later made it into a stand alone jamma board.

Scott has it. A few years ago when he got it, I took a jamma relief pitcher and put it right next to his at cax.

they may be stronger, but from a collectors point of view, I would much rather have the original boxes.

Marble Madness overlay is a repro also. It should have a matte finish.
Sante's prices are right on
Oh, and almost forgot, PPR control panel should have orange buttons. Please replace at your leisure.

I agree but I only have one box and it's in poor shape.
