Atari star wars pcb with esb chip set wanted

To clarify this would be the entire board set. If u have just the sw pcb that would work too...just really want one with esb installed.

I have an extra set. It has the SW/ESB kit installed and it was just repaired by a well-respected forum member. It wouldn't be cheap.
Not sure I want to sell it as I feel pretty good having a spare. Just wanted to let you know it's a possibility. Let me think on it. Perhaps you'll find another in the meantime.

let me know! thanks!

So I installed my vector labs esb kit tonight...btw my board worked perfect before install...but installed chips...hooked up...turned on and got nothing...no pic...no sound...nothing. no clue what I did wrong. And now I can't even put old chips back in cause I broke one of the eprom pins...so I am looking for a spare until I get this one fixed...then will sell one to make up for the one I bought. Or trade this one plus cash for a working pcb plus esb. Mostly mad at myself for 1...breaking a pin on the chip...and 2...for not even being able to install a simple esb kit onto my perfectly working pcb.

What's the matter with your current boardset?

I presume this was a tool that you were not in possession of:

Makes pulling IC's a bit easier. Less chance of bending/breaking legs.

sounds like there might be a very simple solution to your problem. it's highly doubtful that installing the esb kit did something that severe. were you careful with making sure you placed each chip in its correct orientation? Don't give up on your board set so easily.

Two things may be causing problem....I installed the vector boars chip according to the notch location on socket...when I checked video...the socket was facing other direction on video...but I had already plugged in and tried...so I flipped the chip and tried again...nothing. next is there is a slight bend on one of the pins for my main cpu prom that bent when I installed it onto main esb board. Double checked and pin is bent..but not broke...and is fully seated in the pin hole ....everything else is orientated correctly and seated correctly....

I had all the right tools and was careful but still caused problems which did not become clear until I started removing the kit to revert back to stock for troubleshooting. See posts 503 through 507, in particular the picture in 507!

If those sockets are truely backwards, I would remove and install new ones in the correct orientation. Prevent you or the next owner from making the same mistake again!

from the damage i may or may have not caused to my board...even if i do have a bent pin or not...i am just not gonna take the risk of trying to take apart and fix if there is anything bent with the pins. i just dont trust myself anymore. i have zero electronic experience...and just want to be better safe than sorry. i will fix mine and in meantime buy a spare...or trade for a working one with the esb plus cash. i just dont want to risk messing up further...even if it is simple to fix. board is already in box ready to be shipped.
