Hi there,
I am looking for a fully working (preferably serviced and bulletproof) Atari Star Wars PCB Board Set.

PM me with details.

I have a few that are fully working - either with or without the ESB kit. They are tested for several weeks (minimum) in my own machines, with many power cycles and long on times.

As for being bulletproofed, there aren't really any chronic trouble spots with SW boards.

The PROMs in row 7 of the main board do run hot, and sometimes those sockets become unreliable... but that could be based on environment. I've seen plenty of boards working fine with the original sockets. An ESB kit replaces the PROMs.

The AVG chip on the AVG board will probably fail at some point, but it's unknown when or why. It's socketed, so you could use it until it fails (some of mine are still fine) and then install one of the repros if and when it is needed.

Unlike earlier Atari boards, the RAM and ROM sockets on Star Wars are not known to cause trouble. Mathbox (matrix or divider) troubles, DAC or op-amp troubles, or vector timer troubles all happen but none are particularly more common than any others. Since it's a three-board stack, you could think of it as trying to keep three games running. But with good tight connections and clean power that can certainly be done.
