Have an Atari Star Wars upright that doesn't display the Deflection Towers on the surface of the Death Star during the second wave.

Anybody seen this before? Just put new 7H,J,K,L Atari Proms in.

Thanks for any help.

Towers are yellow (unlike predominant use of other colors in the game). Check monitor settings R/G/B (test mode).
(i.e. might not be a logic board issue ...)

Isn't yellow made from red and green?

Yes, but if those are weak, then yellow will be weak and/or if one is more dominant, perhaps it blends dark and not visible?

Just saying that the other SW scenes area predominantly drawn with green, red and blue and white vectors. Yellow not so much.

I remember in my SW, I could not see the red bunkers since my red was weak in that scene. A slight tweak of the monitor and that was fixed.

Of course, this all depends upon the OP using a real vector monitor ... which is not a definite assumption these days (LOL, see other thread).

For the sake of clarity. You're saying that you play through the Death Star surface once and all the towers are correctly drawn (You start the game on a Death Star OTHER THAN easy?), destroy the Death Star and when you return to the surface the 2nd time there are no towers drawn? Or are you starting on the easy Death Star?

What was wrong with it before that caused you to change ALL the proms?

Are you sure you put them in properly - correct locations, no bent pins?

LOL, I hope that's not the case. LOL

Ha!, your response forced me to read both his statement and my response in a different way. So I guess the way you read it is also a concern.

I was trying to figure out if the towers were showing up his first time through an actual towers Death Star/level, but not the 2nd time. Or maybe he was just referring to the white tops being there the 1st time and not on subsequent passes.

Wave 1 (Easy) has the TIE fighter stage and then the trench stage with no catwalks.
Wave 2 has TIE fighter stage, then the Death Star surface with only red bunkers. There are not supposed to be yellow towers in wave 2. Then the trench stage with a few catwalks.
Wave 3 (Medium) is the first one with all the bells and whistles.

Doesn't everyone just start the game on HARD setting? :)

See Pics Maybe This Will Clear Up

The first pic is what towers and bunkers look like as you approach them.

The second pic is when you are almost right on them.

I took your first post literally - that they were not being displayed (ie, not at all). But your pictures show that they are being displayed, just in a distorted way. Those two situations are very different.

Me too. :)

Could that be mathbox error? Or issues with the new PROMs he put in?
I wonder if OP tried the test mode?

Have run test mode no reported mathbox errors.

When I run the Scale Test Linear I see this at end of box disappearing.

Thanks for the suggestion andrewb. I saw that note and checked for AMD and I do not have them. I'm wide open for any other suggestions...
