yes i did, in the manual explains the wiring by open and closed circuits, i do not know about circuits and such, nor do i have a multimeter to check them out, i mean the best thing would be i someone had a similiar centipede upright / cocktail, could tell me the colors of the wiress

That manual may not have that detail (wire colors) but the wiring diagram (in the drawing package) does:
http://arcarc.xmission.com/PDF_Arcade_Atari_Kee/Centipede/Centipede_DP-182-5th-01A.pdf

Relying on wire colors isn't always reliable; as people may have re-wired over the years, and even the factory didn't always build it as-designed (colors may have been subbed if they ran out). Recommend learning some basics of electricity, and picking up an inexpensive meter.

Look at page 18 of manual. Has picture of control panel with color coded hook-up.

AWESOMMEEE , thankss a bunch buddy, as soon as i get home im trying if its gonna work, hope someone didnt rewire it previously

got some newws
GOOD NEWS :it works
BAD NEWS, a stupid move burned the led inside

now gotta check my local electronics stroe if they have
it should be an easy led to find right? even tough its not 100 percent the same model as it was?

mochoman, you shouldve called yourself machoman, you saved my life
now lets hope the local french radio shack has it,
did you use this also for an atari button?

Not yet. Have to buy them yet. Just found that tonight. That person used them for a Atari Tempest restore.

fine by me, let me know how it turned out

Bought the ones from RadioShack and they work perfect. Just a bit brighter I think but looks great. Easy fix.

thanks alot guys, only 1 thing spydrion, lets say i opened thoses 2 slots, how will I be able to change the led, i cant visualise nor do i have a dremel at the moment to checkit out myself

If it makes you feel any better, you probably weren't the reason the LED isn't working, the worst you can do is hook it up backwards and that wouldn't fry it. It probably just burnt out.

you can accidentally hook the LED voltage up to the switch, but that would probably just blow a fuse in the cab. Or make the board reset.

1 things sure i misplaced a couple of wires and I saw the bulb actually diying...
the simplest option i have is to replace the led, but the thing is its in a really hard to reach place.
so im half screwed
